Overview: 

Instructional designers should be capable of applying business skills to managing instructional design projects. It is important to develop a plan as a foundation for handling multiple projects and monitoring the implementation and progress of each project.

  • Develops project plans.

  • Prepares project budgets.

  • Establishes and modifies project goals.

  • Establishes an environment that fosters job satisfaction.

  • Applies principles of performance management to self and staff.

  • Collects and applies legal and contractual information pertaining to programs and projects such as: local, state, and federal

  • Understands and applies policies related to standards, legislation, regulations, funding sources and certification.
